A driver making a right turn on a road with a lane for vehicles operating on established routes separated by a dashed road marking line is permitted to turn from that lane. In such places, it is also allowed to enter it when leaving the road and for boarding or disembarking passengers near the right edge of the carriageway.

It is used in settlements marked with the sign 5.51, to highlight the boundary of the end of the development of the settlement, located immediately near the roadway (provided that there is no such development in the future).

Means cancellation of the maximum permitted speed limit within 50 km/h and transition to the standard speed regime of the road on which it is set.

Informs about the general speed limits on the territory of Ukraine and the terms of mandatory switching on of daytime running lights (low beam headlights) on mechanical vehicles outside built-up areas.

Informs drivers that travel on a mountain road is possible, including when crossing a pass whose name is shown in the upper part of the sign. Plates 1-3 are changeable: plate 1 is red with the word "Closed" when travel is prohibited and green with the word "Open" when travel is allowed. Plates 2 and 3 are white with black inscriptions and symbols. If the pass is open, plates 2 and 3 contain no additional information. If the road is closed, plate 3 indicates the settlement as far as the road remains open, and plate 2 displays the inscription "Open until...".
