15.12. Is the driver allowed to stop on the bridge at this location?

This exam question from the Traffic Rules of Ukraine tests knowledge of the rules for safe stopping and parking on engineering structures. Such places as bridges and overpasses have an increased level of risk: there are limited opportunities for bypassing, often narrow lanes or barriers, and any stopped vehicle sharply reduces visibility and can provoke an accident. That is why it is important to clearly understand during the theoretical exam where stopping is unacceptable regardless of the driver's intentions.

According to the Traffic Rules of Ukraine, a stop means the cessation of movement of a vehicle for up to 5 minutes or more, in particular for boarding or alighting passengers, loading or unloading, as well as in cases of complying with the Rules (for example, to give way).
Next, it is necessary to determine whether stopping is allowed specifically in this place. In the image, the vehicle is on a bridge (an engineering structure), that is, directly in a zone which the Rules specifically highlight as dangerous for stopping.
